    Perfect conditions for paragliders on the Wank

    The Wank is one of the most active mountains of the region in terms of thermal uplift. While you’re gently floating through the air, you enjoy a view of the lush green meadows of the Ester mountain range and the harsh rock faces of the Wetterstein massif. Just stunning!

    The adventure in lofty heights starts in immediate proximity of the Sonnenalm. After an ascent with the Wank cable car, you’ll find the take-off locations for paragliders right at the Wankhaus.

    Watching the ground from the Osterfelderkopf or Kreuzeck

    Unforgettable flights are guaranteed at the Osterfelderkopf or Kreuzeck as well. Whether you want to gently sail, make use of the excellent thermal uplift or fly over several summits for a few hours – there’s something for every taste! With the Alpspitz or the Kreuz cable car, you can conveniently take a ride up the mountain.

    Tip: We recommend that experienced and flying-hungry paragliders start right from the Alpspitz summit.
