BIKE EVEREST TIROL
More than just cycling
A completely new adventure awaits mountain bike enthusiasts this summer. A total of 8,848 hm have to be conquered - which corresponds exactly to the height of Mount Everest as the highest mountain in the world. The extraordinary tour leads 285 km in seven stages through the Bike Land Tyrol.
The tour starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with an impressive round trip that leads over one of the steepest climbs in the Eastern Alps. The tour continues to the Eibsee at the foot of the Zugspitze, up to the Hochtörle Hütte in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. The varied tour takes us along the old Roman road over the Fernpass down to the Gurgltal valley in Imst. After a detour into the Lechtal Alps, you continue above the Inn Valley, over the Kronburg towards Landeck, into the alpine mountain landscapes of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. The Tyrolean Oberland with one of the most beautiful places in Tyrol, the Pfundser Tschey, forms the penultimate stage before the destination Plamort near Nauders on the Reschen Pass is targeted.
An experience with or without an electric motor
Both experienced mountain bikers and more leisurely e-bike fans are admitted to the BIKE EVEREST TIROL. The tour starts in May and ends in early/mid-October. Whether you tackle the entire tour in one week or take your time over the summer is up to you. Every finisher receives a certificate and the BIKE EVEREST TIROL trophy. There is also a chance to win high-quality prizes in the big competition.
Together it's more fun
On top of that, even less trained friends and family members can support "their athletes" as part of the accompanying tour anchored in the overall concept. The programme includes both regional leisure activities and summit happiness shared with the athletes through the support of mountain railways and locally borrowed e-bikes.
