Via Reschbergwiesen to the Werdenfels Castle Ruin
This round tour leads you from the romantic Pflegersee (Lake Pfleger) via the unique Reschbergwiesen (pastures) to the ruins of Werdenfels Castle. This is a nice tour for running as well as for Nordic Walking. It is also perfect as a small hiking tour for the whole family.
When you leave the idyllically situated lake Pflegersee behind, you will have to surmount a slight ascent to reach the Reschbergwiesen pastures, where the famous bear “Bruno” passed by some years ago. At the ruins of Werdenfels Castle, you can walk along the castle information trail and discover the history of the castle as well as of the Werdenfels County, which is described on 15 information boards. The tour will guide you back to the Pflegersee where you can retreat in a cosy inn or go for a refreshing swim in the lake.
