Through the Ehrwalder Becken
Along the Loisach River along shady tracks cycle from Garmisch-Partenkirchen via Griesen, along the Zugspitze to the valley Ehrwalder Becken.
This easy and rather short tour is ideal for the start of the training season or for those families with children. The banks of the Loisach River frequently invite you to take breaks. At a kiosk right next to the cycle track you can purchase refreshments and snacks. At the petrol station where you cross the street later on, nothing is reminiscent of the former Austrian border. Most of the route runs on tarmac roads and well-developed gravel paths. On hot summer days, broad leaf trees and conifers provide shade, so it is always nice and cool. If you come here via an Außerfernbahn train, you should board a later train around noon instead of starting early.
